Cala Saona Beach Formentera
Located on the West side of the island of Formentera, tucked away in between the cliffside is a wonderful 150 metre wide beach called Cala Saona. A real stunner for sunset as well... The sea is quite shallow for about 50 metres towards the sea making it an excellent beach for children and whoever loves strolling around in shallow waters.
Due to its location and surroundings it is a great place to stay away from the wind and this is also a reason why many boats like to hang around this area of the island as it offers a more secure and tucked away part of the island in case of stronger winds, which during summer are usually from East or South East.
It does get quite busy during the peak season as the beach is fairly small and usually attracts a lot of visitors, so do go there early if you can to make sure you get the better spot on the beach. There are some restaurants and a large luxury hotel very close by so enough to keep you covered throughout the day should you wish to spend the whole day at this gorgeous little beach on the island of Formentera.
Great place to be tucked away from the wind and with stunning sunsets
